Mt. San Jacinto College is offering a women’s self defense workshop from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, at the San Jacinto campus gymnasium.
The free public workshop is hosted by the college’s diversity committee, Ford Edwards of Little Tao Dragon Martial and Healing Arts Center in Hemet and Center Against Sexual Assault in Hemet. The college is at 1499 N. State St., San Jacinto.
The free hands-on workshop offers tips, information and strategies to escape violent attacks. Attendees should wear comfortable shoes and remove jewelry for the hands-on portion of the workshop.
This development is very welcome , attack on innocent people has been on the rise. This class is going now and people should take advantage of it. There are still very many non- lethal materials that work well in warding off attackers to give you enough time to get away and or before Police arrives
